# Hume AI integration guide

HumeAI is a platform that adds emotional intelligence to AI applications, enabling more natural and empathetic human-machine interactions. It benefits developers, researchers, and businesses looking to improve user engagement.

## Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have the following set up:

* A free [SambaCloud](http://cloud.sambanova.ai?utm_source=humeai\&utm_medium=external\&utm_campaign=cloud_signup) account with an API key
* A [HumeAI](https://platform.hume.ai/settings/keys) account with an API key.

## Setup

1. Go to [HumeAI platform](https://platform.hume.ai/).
2. Click on "Playground".
3. Select SambaNova Language Model and create a system prompt.

Your SambaCloud models will power the HumeAI app, providing inference speeds up to 5 times faster than typical GPU providers. If you need assistance, please contact your SambaNova support team.
